Want to Help?

Nearly 600 young people enjoy Scouting on Deeside... And we are growing... So...

Want to help the young people of today become the leaders of tomorrow?

Thinking of joining in as an adult volunteer?

Not quite sure if you could keep up with Bear Grylls?

Don't worry. You can still join the adventure.

By becoming an adult in Scouting on Deeside...

You would be part of the world's largest youth movement.

You would help young people learn new skills, develop confidence, meet challenges and become better citizens.

You could have fun, make friends, learn new skills and contribute to the community.

You could travel, camp, climb hills, enjoy games, be creative or just work in the background as an administrator (or record keeper, or handyperson, or quartermaster, or fund-raider, or....)

You could help reduce the size of our waiting lists.

You will almost certainly have skills and experience which would be of value to Scouting.

Don't worry if you can't tie a shoelace, let alone build a raft. Training is provided.

We are looking for leaders, managers, instructors, trustees and more - whatever your skills, experience and interests, we can find a role for you.

Modern Scouting is flexible. Contribute as much of your time as is convenient to you. You might even be interested in joining the SAS!

If you would like to find out what's in it for you (and us), fill in the Contact Us form (subject:Offering Help) and someone will be in touch to arrange a friendly chat.

Or just drop by at your local Scout Group and speak to one of the Leaders. Give them a chance to tell you how rewarding it is to be able to "make a difference".

All new volunteers are checked through Disclosure Scotland. References will be required.

Scouting aims to be open and accessible to all through its Equal Opportunities Policy.
